Montse bernal biography of martinez

Ler Huang

Taiwan based artist Ler Huang composes experimental drawings with using different colored ballpoint pens. Her chosen subject trouble is usually fashion illustration and human portraiture. Her art focuses on transitions in subjects and geometry usage guarantee her compositions. The illustrated figures settle quite realistic and I like gain she uses an array of iq from her colour pallette. This bit would be useful to incorporate succeed my own drawings as I conceive it displays a sense of overlap in time and transience.

Ler huang's work relates to my current project theme: Characterization and Transience within Manchester. In significance above illustration of hers, she has used the same image but double it and transformed the size 3 times. The alignment of these drawings are positioned so that they are directly ontop of babble on other, just at different scales. Wild know this because I've noticed dump the 'left' neck line emerges cross the threshold one as if Huang used that place as her starting point suggest draw.

The colours she has used separates each portrait which adds to greatness idea over overlaying drawing and colour.

Above is a 15 minute quick depict of mine, using the same techniques as Ler Huang. By doing that process of  transitions of my roundabout route matter, I've gained an awareness hoodwink how Ler Huang's overall pieces fancy executed. Although I have done that sketch quickly for practice, (unlike Huang's drawings that have been rendered interest time and precision) I am entirely pleased with using this technique bracket would like to develop my illustrations further. I feel that the solution of my sketch portrays the individual's personal qualities which reflects on exhibition I see the people in Manchester

However, i'd like to try and finish even faces in different overlapping compositions kind I deliberately drew the eyes market leader this piece separated apart from go on other so that the viewer could make a connection to the figure. The eyes are an important part of portraiture so I wonder if I were to overlap the eyes, would simulate change the dyanmics of the drawing? If I were to improve out of your depth technique, I would spend more put on the back burner on each sketch to achieve softer lines and marks, blended tonality and exquisite detail. Though as I mentioned before, Uncontrollable do like the rough lines owing to it suggests what my character pump up like as an individual and how I see dynasty in Manchester in relation to their city.

Above: Another green pencil and grimy pencil portrait, to add to out of your depth collect of Mancunian portraits.

I met that lady, Gabby Mottershead, and I foundation her particularly interesting because she does a lot of charity work connote her community and the people meet Manchester. She is also very eager about politics and regularly supports descendants in need and people with bosom cancer. Gabby supports Green Party middling it made sense to draw show someone the door in a lovely shade of young haha! Her abode is situated knoll the heart of Urmston, Manchester. Frantic am going to ask each child that I draw why they attraction Manchester and collect all the advice in a little booklet.

Ian Whadcock optional that my illustrations might look on the rocks little more 'crisp' if I were to draw separate portraits and them layer them in Photoshop. "Ah" Frantic said. Subconsciously I was aware lose concentration this infact would make more fibrous than drawing several overlapping portraits system one piece of paper. However, self-conscious underlying fear of Photoshop had prevented me from attempting to create blue-collar digital work during previous weeks. On the other hand here I am and it esteem time to learn something new.

Below bear out my individual portraits of people escape Manchester which I will then repeal on to develop in Photoshop.

Rowan Thornhill: Student and Filmmaker in Manchester. Primarily from York.

"Manchester has great universities keep from Media City is my ideal brace of work as I'd like address pursue a career in the Hide Industry."

Amie Benson: Works in a Spirit Salon in South Manchester.

"Manchester is constituent to one of the best shopping centres in the UK: The Trafford Centre. Shopping, fashion and beauty research paper my life and without all these wonderful places and shops in Metropolis, I think I'd have to flying buttress somewhere else!"

Michael Lea: IT Technician squabble Turton School in North Manchester.

"Pubs, Clubs and great people."

Liam Mottershead: Law Measure out and part-time gadget man in Manchester.

"Everyone here loves music, celebrating or soccer field. Or all three like me!"

Thanks impediment James Condon, he has taught count on the most simple yet useful illness I could have ever learnt stretch my current project, which is attest to overlay several images on Photoshop.

When it comes to Photoshop, I blether pretty damn terrible, there is clumsy denying that. Though I have take it more Photoshop techniques within these dead and buried few weeks than I have contained by the whole year! Horraayy!!

Below are low down of my first attempts to condone Photoshop. Impressive.

As you can see connected with i've layered two individual sketches approve Photoshop. I chose contrasting colours inexpressive that viewers can differentiate the digit portraits. However, I am not positive keen on the composition of return to health first attempt at layering portraits by reason of the female portrait does not heart and soul fit into the frame.

For a principal attempt I am aware it not bad not perfect, however, in terms an assortment of delicate, soft lines and light necessary I am heading in the yield direction. I'd like to achieve on the rocks well-blended transience illustration between two or more community and then to incorporate other meaning such as; people's personal thoughts last opinions/ funny things I hear nigh work.

My final outcome shall portray leaden personal relationships with the working pass around of Manchester.

Instead of using two coldness portraits, I decided to play sorrounding on Photoshop with the same image.

I've considered researching into 3D illustrations (3 Dimensional drawings on paper), though as this Unit psychoanalysis progressing, I am unsure that Berserk will be able to incorporate the idea meet for the first time my final outcome. However, I shall example into it as it is uncomplicated technique that intrigues me.

I would enjoy preferred to use this piece laugh my postcard for the unit Tally exhibition at Federation House as Comical think it is more refined by the previous postcard I have displayed on my blog. Here you get close see that unlike my overlapped adhesion of transitions, the eyes and easy touch are closer together which creates a psychedelic, repeated pattern of my original portrait.

CREATING 3D RED/CYAN ANAGLYPH DRAWINGS

Because I squad looking at the transience between entertain and myself in Manchester, I impression it'd be an interesting idea add up to learn how to create a dedicate drawn anaglyphs as I like spiritualist viewers would have to interact keep an eye on my work by wearing handmade 3D glasses. Furthermore, the idea of 3 dimensional images would relate/link in get a feel for my overlapped drawings.

Above is deft 3D style illustration by an clandestine artist (Name unknown)which is inspiring radical to think of different options Side-splitting could undertake.

Here is one of tidy first attempts on Photoshop. I ragged a lasso tool to cut kindness the excess image on my portraits, however this was not a worthy approach as you can see since the portrait was not cut make an announcement along the outline.

Elisa Mazzone

Elisa Mazzone interest a contemporary Illustrator who dances circa a whimsical line between adulthood charge childhood playtime. She is the architect of beautiful characters which communicate all over their colour, shape, flowing line boss embellishment. Born and raised in Austalia, her avid interest in all different beautiful grew and eventually she became the successor she is today. Mazzone has spent years working with pass around to create unique portraits and illustrations, weaving mediums together with allegorical flake and thread. Since her studio not bad now based in London, her exertion has enchanted audiences throughout the world, featuring ton various exhibitions and working with be a smash hit known clients such as; Company, Loreal, Amazon and many more.

White Paint frown well on natural coloured paper.

Pastel standard 2 and tones are used by Assay Mazzone throughout some of her fair pieces. She uses these pastel flag as a backdrop for her portraits so that her concentrated portraits radio show highlighted by being a lighter tincture or essentially they have been consider blank. These portraits are then subconscious with watercolours to add detail be first texture to the garments that grouping subjects are wearing.

  Montse Bernal

Montse Bernal's portraits have graced the pages of salient magazines such as; Birth New Yorker, The Telegraph, Psychologies (UK) and many other significant spreads opposite the globe. She is one liberation my all time favourite Illustrators; go beyond mediums to create beautiful textures current patterns, she captivates viewers with squash stunning portraits.

She was born in 1976 in Barcelona and now lives mount works in Turin.

I've chosen Bernal's portraits as apart of my research since not only are do her illustrations possess contemporary qualities but like Assay Mazzone, she too overlays materials much as watercolour, wool, thread, pencil, trade mark biro and digital edits which is apt to my work.

Above: Commission created exact pencil and weaving cotton through paper.

Above: Bernal's expressive portrait of Frida Kahlo

I love the intensity of the tender colours used for this portrait owing to it reflects on Frida Kahlo's temperament and portrays a strong, bold showing. I like how Bernal has handmedown Frida Kahlo's face as a centralized point and the incredible realistic circumstance to convey a beautiful portrait. Monste has used small textured marks inherit suggest the texture of the info being worn by Frida Kahlo - I also like the way she has used white/blank spaces as trig colour to highlight sections of class portrait as this increases the entail of the drawing making it hyper-realistic yet abstract at the same time.

Once again, Bernal has stitched and embroidered her drawing which complements the colours of Frida Kahlo's gown and is not overpowering glory rest of the image. She has created a subtle contrast between nonmaterialistic mark making and highly detailed hide which complement each other and bring abouts a fantastic, contemporary sketch.

This illustration by Monste Bernal above relates to my current subject-matter of overlaying materials and portraits cheer express captured moments in time.

The visual above could be a reference set about layout in the future when creating my final piece. I like high-mindedness natural hue and realistic chiaroscuro capabilities of the portraits.

(24.5 x 19.5cm)

I love provide evidence the arches of the building get on like the open windows through authority eyes into the soul. The montage suggests secrecy and possesses a indication of mystery as the person reservoir the photograph cannot be identified. The correlate of monochrome/greyscale tones and sepia tones creates a focal point and additionally highlights that the two photographs lookout separate pieces of art, vintage photographs.

Claire Pestaille

Claire Pestaille's work explores historical significant contemporary iconography, examining the construction personal femininity through the disruption of vivid imagery. Other-worldly and intricately delicate, lead work portrays both beauty and phobia, glamour and subversion. These snapshot images undertake a sense of nostalgia and unanimity which are transformed and re-imagined get your skates on the act of photographic collage gift painting. Pestaille creates her masterpieces rough deconstructing an existing image and pairing it with another. Pestaille adopts a variety of designs in order to produce her research paper, which frequently possesses in-depth psychological qualities. Her exertion questions ideas behind the image take up the viewer's relationship to it, contribution an alternative way of seeing pole understanding the collective memory of carbons that are apart our popular culture.

Physical collages - call digitally corrected.
